Want a completely custom look as well as the perfect fit? From design right through to production and finishing touches, you choose every detail large or small.
Our custom made wedding dress service takes us from the initial sketch to patternmaking, fittings, right down to dress drop off and options of fitting you on the day. We work one-on-one together, customising and incorporating your unique personality and style. The best part? It's ALL handmade right here in New Plymouth in our local studio. Each is unique on its own, sourcing only small amounts of each fabric, making them even more exclusive and personal.
Custom gowns in the past have ranged anywhere from $2,500 for a slip style gown, and fitted $4,000- $5,500 depending on design style and fabrics used.

WHERE TO START?
In studio, I have a rack full of pre-made wedding gowns. Each one is unique, using limited laces and fabrics giving you a one-off look without the price tag of custom made. If you choose one of the 'off the rack' gowns and it meets all your wants and needs - it’s all yours! Note, these can also be altered if it's not quite perfect for you.

CUSTOM MADE
QUOTES AND DEPOSITS
Following the Initial Consultation, you have been provided with a quote via Xero, this should be in your emails. It is very detailed and based off our sketch in studio. Please note, quotes are valid for one month due to demand and limited spaces available.
Once you’ve accepted your quote! What next? You will be sent an invoice for 50% of the total price. The deposit is non-refundable and it secures one of our very limited bespoke spaces. Once a deposit is paid, work on your dream dress can commence and we book you in for your first fitting.
INITIAL CONSULTATION
At your Initial Consultation, you will meet with me to discuss wedding details and design ideas. You will be able to try on our existing collection of dresses, customise based off one of these, or discuss bespoke/custom design ideas and concepts. I will refine the design concept and prepare a final sketch that best suits your individual tastes and body frame.
At the First Fitting, you will try on a calico mock-up that has been cut and sewn from your customised pattern. The calico mock-up shows the basic silhouette and enables us to refine design details such as neckline and detailing as well as perfect the fit. During this fitting you can choose from a range of fabrics, lace and trimmings.
WHAT IS THE PROCESS OF GOING CUSTOM?

THE FIRST FITTING:
At the Second Fitting you will be able to try on the full dress in your chosen fabrics. At this stage, the dress will be over half way, and will enable us (and you) to get an idea of what the completed dress will look like, while still giving us the opportunity to make minor detail changes and additions such as extra lace placement.

THE SECOND FITTING:
At the Third Fitting, aside from last minute adjustments and fitting of the closure/zip, the dress will be complete. This fitting allows us to determine whether any further minor adjustments are required.

THE THIRD FITTING:

THE FOURTH/FINAL FITTING:
At the Final Fitting you will try on the finished dress.
Following this Final Fitting the dress will be steamed and placed in a garment bag for pickup or delivery.
NOTE: This is just a guide. The amount of fittings vary per person depending on how many changes are needed. During fittings you are requested to wear the shoes and underwear that are intended to be worn on the wedding day.
